The Gwiberlys llac is an endemic plant from Iberian Peninsula. In Berlengas, it occurs an endemic subspecies (Echium rosulatum davei), which prefers soils enriched with nitrates from Yellow-legged gull faeces. It has a purple flower fairly easy to identify and it can be found all over the Berlenga Island.
