The Henslow’s swimming crab has a Benthopelagic behaviour, i.e. living in the sea, along the water column from the bottom to the surface. It has a wide distribution in Portuguese waters and it can gather in dense shoals at the sea surface. In Berlengas, it is an important prey for Yellow-legged gull and Cory’s shearwater.
