Limpets are gastropod molluscs that live attached to rocks in the intertidal area. In Berlengas, there are several limpet species such as the common-limpet Patella vulgata or the Striped false limpet Siphonaria pectinata.
The Berlengas archipelago, located off the coast of Peniche, is recognized for its natural values. LIFE Berlengas appears with the aim of reconciling the conservation of seabirds and endangered plants with human activity.
